When I Started:
Jan, 2005
How I Started:
I have always been athletic: Traditional Jamaican Dance, Soccer, Cross Country, Sprinter, Tribal Bellydance
In February 2007 an acquaintance, Razor, BB-Pro, approached me about him training me for figure. I hesitated because I did not have self confidence in myself. Truthfully, I was flabbergasted he saw potential in me. I work hard, I enjoy being pushed and put to the test, I like to compete. I never saw myself in that world despite all my friends, acquaintances, and brother being PTs and BBs.
It took me through June to accept the challenge for myself, striving for better and not mediocre. I have found that it has kept me relatively sane since I recently moved to a different state.
Why I Love It:
I become ecstatic when I am finally able to see the positive changes in myself. It is spiritual for me. I work on me from my inside-out. Working out has helped me deal with a lot of stressful and hard times and battles within. I have gained an immense amount of self confidence and esteem since transforming my temple. I still have a lot of work to do, but that keeps me going. I am bettering myself and the energy I exude to those I keep around me.
I have found out in this process that I have given hope to a few people. I found out that there are even males that admire me because they see the dedication I put into myself and they have seen my results before I notice them.
How I Stay Motivated:
I look around me and I see what I do not want to become. I want my positive choices from yesterday, today, and tomorrow to impact my future in a healthy way. I never want to be a negative statistic.
Oxygen magazine, women of BB, the type of energy and company I hope to attract, knowledge, and bettering my world.
In March I will be entering my first competition. hehehe :D
Goal (Long):
In my ideal fitness world I would like to have 12 BF%, weigh 120lbs, model, feel comfortable with myself to wear shorts, a bikini, and much less a swimsuit. As far as other goals are concerned I need symmetry, increased striations/tone/muscle development, decrease waist, increase hips increase thighs (and calves... although mainly focus on tone to get them DEFINED!!!!) I want definition, definition, definition.
Yea, It's what judges look at but it is only a portion of the judging. Just study most pros, most of them have a bigger body part. Ronnie Coleman, Jay Cutler even Arnold had uneven arm development that is why he alway posed one arm more than the other. You have to learn to had your flaws and show your strengths that's bodybuilding!
Welcome to BB.com. Good luck with your goals. Most people are asymmetrical. My right calf is a whole inch larger than my left but my quads are the same size!
Wha'agwan Azana? Welcome to BB.com. Good luck with your goal to compete in 08. You look like you are in great shape so you should have no problem achieving that goal. Just train and eat aggresivly. One.
