When I Started:
Jun, 2009
How I Started:
My stepmother and my dad were serious gym buffs while I was growing up. I spent a lot of time in the gym nursery while they were teaching classes or doing their own work outs until I was old enough to stay home with alone and watch my sister and brother.
I was around 12 when I became interested in becoming a model. Unfortunately God blessed me with a 5 foot body, haha so modeling clothing lines was not going to be an option. But it didn't stop me from wanting to have that body those models I looked up to had. I started my own little workout running laps around my neighborhood and doing pushups and situps with crunches. I think back at that now and I laugh at myself.
While I was in high school I was on the body building team, along with the gymnastics team, basketball team and track team. So working out has always been an addiction. I must say thanks to my Stepmother and Dad for being a great inspiration to me while growing up.
Why I Love It:
I love to work out and lift because it's a great way to blow off steam and stress. Especially when I have a horrible fat day, and girls you know what I'm talking about. LOL! I love how I feel after I have a good workout especially when I lift. I love the feeling of building that strength when I go up in weight each week. The feeling of accomplishment is the biggest reward I get out of working out, which is why I love it so much.
How I Stay Motivated:
Oh it isn't easy. The temptation of the yummy food that we all crave is probably my worst enemy. I look at the motivating pictures I keep on me and remember, those horrible "I don't feel like it" days, go get it girl, if you don't thats two steps back from your dreams. So thats motive enough for me to get my ass in gear and hit the weights hard.
BB Accomplishments:
Before I left for deployment I was in the gym six days a week, sometimes twice a day doing an hour to an hour and a half of cardio and lifting...I was able to get down to less than 10 percent body fat and weighed 110 pounds. I was so proud of myself and it made bootcamp a breeze! Now my goals are life long dreams I plan on dedicating myself to until I reach them!

This is a local from Catania Sicily, when I was looking through old pics today I had to post this for motivation. I was 134 at the time and I still cant believe I let myself go like this.
I was taking role for the crew that was flying back to the ship. Helo's very cool. Would I want to fly one? Um probably not.
I want a lean healthy strong body. I want to be an inspiration to other women to reach their goals like I am motivated to reach mine.
Goal (Long):
I am determined to lose weight and inches but gain muscle. I want a strong trim mid section with a defined back, shoulders and arms and slim tight legs.
She is a mother, wife and a strong woman from what I see from her profile. YOU GO GIRL! I hope to have a physique like yours! My first competition is November and I have so much work ahead of me but with women like her, it makes me want to hit the gym right now. I cant wait to hit the weights today! Thanks!
What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I look at pictures of what I want to look like. I think of how good I will feel if I just bust my booty and push hard. I love how I feel after a hard work out, maybe not during but after!

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped and/or changed your family life?
Since it's only me I would have to say that my family is very proud of me. I was a little on the chunky side growing through my teens, I loved food! But with how much I dedicate my time to the gym everyday and changing my diet my family is happy for me and I even motivate them along with my friends.Since it's only me I would have to say that my family is very proud of me. So I have tried most of the morning to update my profile the best I can. Unfortunately while I was on deployment I was unable to access Bodybuilding.com so I was unable to update my work outs on a regular basis. I tried updating them as far back as April but it would be a lot of time I would...
My program changes every three weeks. I focus on two muscle groups per weight day. Every week I go up in weight even if its only a couple pounds, I do this to progress in strength. After the three weeks is up I change the routine around and do a different routine for another three weeks.
