How I Started:
My husband has worked out seriously most of his adult life. I have been active, but not really into sculpting my body until I turned 40 and was sick and tired of hiding my body!
Why I Love It:
I love the rush after a workout and the feeling of accomplishment. I also simply desire to be more disciplined in my life overall. My Crohn's Disease has been relatively inactive during this time...I may be on to something here!
How I Stay Motivated:
The mirror!! This is not a happy butt!

Goal (Long):
Improve stats through intesity and changing routines.
cardio 3x a week first thing in the morning.
improve nutrition by reducing non raw-veggie carbs and increasing protein. Five- six meals a day
write about my knowledge and journey in dealing with Crohn's, full-time desk job, active kids and all through the power of faith!

How has bodybuilding and fitness helped you to be a better parent?
My children laugh at me, but then they and their friends talk about my lifestyle,which is odd compared to others. I think they stop and think about food choices and lack of activity now.

My father died from complications of CD at 62, and my younger half-sister has had two surgeries. I think that lifestyle not only improves my symptoms and CD activity, it assists me in being stronger to handle any flare-up that might occur.
