When I Started:
Oct, 2003
How I Started:
In 2003, I moved back to PA and bumped into my high school buddy, Ryan. It had been about 4 years since we saw each other then, and I kept hearing from other friends that Ryan got "huge"! I didn't believe it until we hung out. Ryan, the tall lanky kid from high school did get huge! He was a beast. He took me under his wing and showed me the proper techniques to bodybuilding and working out.
Why I Love It:
There's nothing like it. It's you and the weights. It's you and the pavement. It's you and some good music. The feeling of getting a pump or getting that gym "high". Feeling an overall change in your own body and mind is why I love it. Hearing a compliment every once in a while that boosts my already inflated ego...doesn't hurt either.
How I Stay Motivated:
Reading other people's success stories keeps me motivated.
BB Accomplishments:
None as of yet. When I accomplish the goal that I currently have set for myself, I will update this field.

I'm in the worst shape of my life. Forget waiting until New Year's to make a resolution! I am changing my body and mind today. I am currently 5'11 230 pounds. I routinely workout, but my diet is complete crap. I rarely do cardio as well. This is all going to change right now!
October of 2007, I had surgery on my lower back. The recovery has been slow and somewhat painful. During my recovery, my diet and workout habits have suffered. I have become extremely lazy and I have been lacking motivation to set and accomplish any goals. Only a couple of years ago, I was running an average of 20 miles a week for my cardio. Now, I can say I haven't ran a total of 20 miles in the last year. After serving 8 years on active duty in the Marine Corps, I departed in April of 2008. I am going to use the discipline that I have learned from the Marine Corps to assist me in hitting my goals.
I am currently #1 in my town on the civil service list for the police department. Now is the time for me to get my ass in gear and get in shape before I am called in for an interview. I am also finishing up my EMT coure, and while doing so, I have learned so much about the human body and the effects of not properly taking care of it.
I am trading in my beer for protein shakes!
