How I Started:
I was reaching the limit to becoming Obese and decided to make a change. I have always been a large fellow and have had a decent shape, but was getting down in the dumps from being overweight. I guess my major wake up point is when the company I worked for earlier this year changed from group medical plans to individual plans. I was declined for coverage; they said I was clinically obese. I think the way they structure those things is wrong. They base it their decisions off a chart, height to weight only not body and muscle composition, or heredity. So I'm working on some self improvement this year. I have already change my eating habits and seen results. Last year my max weight was around 325-330 pounds. Just from the eating habits change and moderate exercise I got down to 305 in March.
Why I Love It:
The more I workout, the better I look and feel. The stronger I get is a confidence booster.
How I Stay Motivated:
It's hard sometimes, but I have friends and co-workers who help keep me motivated. I just think about how I want to be later down the line and that keeps me focused. Not to be funny, but my major motivation is to be able to look straight down and see my feet instead of my stomach.
BB Accomplishments:
So far as of today 4/6/09 I have lost over 30 pounds and lost a few inches from my beltline.
