I joined the Army and felt the need to make life changing choices in my diet and exercise. I did great for several yrs until I had kids, then fell into a pit of bad eating habits and made excuses for not working out. While pregnant with my 2nd child I started working out (with the guidance of my Dr) to keep from gaining too much more weight. Since then, 1998, I have been "yo-yoing" on my commitment to exercise. I have maintained the same body weight, but as the age demon steals my youth, things are getting more difficult to firm up. So, this year is my year to get the firm body and the muscular definition that I have craved but put off.
Why I Love It:
For starters, I love working out because in the crazy world I work in, it keeps me sane. In addition to sanity though, it makes me proud to be a 35 yr old mother of two who strives to be stronger and look better. I hope to pass these traits onto my kids about their health and setting goals and accomplishing them.
How I Stay Motivated:
As the new year approached and I was surrounded by losing friends over here, it was easy to get down and give up. However, I made the decision to live better and be happy, so I surrounded myself (my room) with pictures of the body I want to achieve and with phrases of motivation. Most of all, you have to believe that you are capable of accomplishing the goals that you have set.
BB Accomplishments:
Too long ago to remember. I will change that this year.

My new goal was to be ready for a body building competition by the Spring. Unfortunately, I had to have my appendix taken out and that has thrown me bck a month or so. However, I am determined to eliminate excuses and stop working out for the "Army PT" test. I have proven myself enough already on that and running marathons has proven itself detrimental to my body, so knowing that doing well on a PT test will never be an issue, I have decided to concentrate on what I want. The ultimate muscular body. I want bigger calves and defined thighs. A ripped stomach and back. The upper body that I have been so close to achieving so many times, but never quite got there. This is my time and I am excited about doing it! Competition here I come!
A friend of mine over here is a personal trainer, and he prescribed this workout for me based upon the goals I want to achieve. I will do this workout for a total of 6-8 weeks and then re-evaluate based upon my progress. It takes 4-6 weeks to see progress.
Hey whats up? I just got back home a few days ago! That sucks that youll be out here so quick again. Let me know where you end up getting sent I'm curious about all those places. I re-uped and am going to Ft. Myer, VA sometime in may. Keep in touch! cya
