Your words are inspiring too, man. Great goals! It's not about the looks, it's about the performance.

Too busy with grad school to train the way I'd love to. Been lifting 3 days/week and running 3 days/week instead of 6 and 6, but so long as the scale stays at 150# and the abs still show, I'm happy. Can't wait for school to be done next semester! How 'bout you?

You could look ripped weighing 106# for first 5 feet of height and 6 additional # for every inch taller. Eat small frequent meals every 2-3 hours consisting of protein (lean meat, fat-free dairy) and a carb (grain, fruit or veg) to increase your metabolism, burn fat and provide protein and energy to build muscle. Drink skim milk, low-cal protein shakes and calorie-free beverages all day to build muscle and piss off excess water weight. Carry food where ever you go to eat round the clock.

Thanks, man. You look like you're hitting the training pretty hard too. Shirtless weather is right around the corner. Keep it up!

Hey, man! You and I are about the same height and weight now, but with different body compositions. I'm a registered dietitian who has worked with a lot of tube-fed critically ill patients. So if you need any diet advice on how to increase the muscles and lose the fat, you know where to find me. Just drop me a message.

To lose weight I designed a 1400 calorie/day diet plan consisting of 200 calorie meals/snacks consumed 7 times/day. Basically each meal was 2 courses: cereal and milk, fruit and yogurt, meat and vegetables, etc.; or a 200 calorie meal replacement bar or shake. Now I eat 10 such meals/day to maintain my weight with 2000 calories/day. Feel free to send a private message where I can go into more detail.

Thanks for our encouragement. As a dietitian, it helped knowing what to do. It just took me a few years to get the will to do it (entirely different from the desire to do it). Feel free to contact me with andy diet and exercise questions, and good luck to you!

Good job on losing the 13 pounds! Some words of advice from a dietitian:
1. Don't ever skip a meal
2. Eat 200 cal every 3.5 hrs for weight loss
3. 200 cals should consist of protein and carbs. Use meal replacement bars and shakes if you have to.
4. Have one cheat meal a week, don't worry about cals. Shocks your metabolism and keeps your body from getting used to a low cal diet, keeps you from plateauing while losing weight.
My patients follow these rules and lose about 3# of fat/week.
