Wow I hate looking at this pic, but you can see the progress so I'm posting it. I weighed between 184-187 here and had been that size for about 3 years...I was not loving life like this!

It hasn't been easy, I seemed to be in a year long plateau stuck between 170-174 and couldn't get below 170 no matter what. Here I am finally down to 166.

...waist is getting smaller...today I pulled some pants out of the closet that used to be tight, now they are almost too big!!...I just wish I had taken a pic like this when I started so I could compare for progress...don't forget to take yours!!

I've never liked the way my arms looked, so I have avoided sleeveless shirts since I always feel self conscious about my arms in them...until NOW!...this is a HUGE milestone for me :)

shaping up the back end has proven to be no easy feat, I still don't see much muscle, nothing like what I see in my back and arms...grrrrrrr..I've been working at it though, doing squats, lunges, walking lunges, leg presses, leg curls...*sigh* I guess it will happen in it's own timeframe no matter how impatient I get...just gotta keep workin at it and believe that eventually I will see the changes happen...

..this is how you sweat when you eat too many carbs apparently!..maybe it's the cinnamon rolls putting me on blast for eating them when I know I shouldn't have since "we are what we eat"...I was walking around the gym, using different cardio machines..oblivious to what was happening in my chest area and didn't know until I was done with my cardio and went into the locker room..looked in the mirror..and..O..M..G! WTF????
...So do you think this Avi could make the top 6 ?? lol

...Nov 13 '08 (middle pic) is the first day I ever noticed any muscle on my body since beginning training...so exciting and motivating to see it finally happen..felt like I "broke the ice" and was soo happy...I won't lie...I teared up that day when I saw this pic..so proud of myself..don't laugh!...and today is exactly 7 months later...

so...here's my calf..it seems to be my 'genetic gift' body part that doesn't take much work to grow..I usually forget to train it even..blech, why couldn't I have gotten shoulders, or quads that are easy to grow?!

I have actually been consistent these past couple weeks with eating clean...trying to flex a little leg muscle here..had to really cut back on running to start seeing any muscle in my legs...
