Background

When I Started: Oct 2009
HOW I STARTED:

I was tired of looking in the mirror and being depressed with what I saw. I was tired of being intimidated by others who were bigger in size and having concerns of going to bars in fear of being attacked and being too weak to defend myself

WHY I LOVE IT:

Working out is by far the best stress relief method you can do. Secondly, you feel fantastic after it. After working out for a year I've noticed I'm not as tired as I used to be and I'm in a better mood majority of the time. My confidence has sky rocketed and continues to increase as I am able to lift heavier weights as time goes on.

My Motivation Program

After watching a bunch of videos on youtube I became interested in powerlifting. After watching some legit, non steroid users bench 400+ lbs and deadlift 500+ I've decided that I want to give powerlifting a try. Since then my motivation has been at its peak and I work harder than ever at the gym. Looking good is nice but nothing feels better than grabbing a loaded barbel and lifting it. You feel so powerful and it gives you an adrenaline rush. Also, I also enjoy competing with others mentally. I see what others can lift and tell myself I can do that and strive to reach it, within a realistic time period of course.
