When I Started: Aug, 2001
How I Started: High School Football. I lifted during lunch for two-a-day practices. I know what you're thinking, lifting on a lunch break between two four hour football practices? Hell yes I love iron.
Why I Love It: I'm addicted. I've chose resistance training over relationships. Yeah, I'm lonely but my chest is freakish!
How I Stay Motivated: When I wake up every morning and see that 5th place trophy on my dresser, that's all the fuel my fire needs.
BB Accomplishments: OCB Great Lakes - 5th place mens novice.

Main Goal: Gain Muscle
Goal (Short): To go through a 2.33 week carb-ingesting soy isoflavone and multi-protein blend imbibing gorging bulk diet to eventually graduate from the little spoon to big spoon whilst engaging in cuddle-related activities.
Goal (Long): Priorities for improvement: (1) Get weight up. I want to hit 190 in the off-season. Gain muscle mass, provide more than adequate nutrients for my muscle. (2) Improve legs. Add at least 4 inches to Quads/Hams. (3) Improve back. Heavy deadlifts. Heavy rows. Wide grip pulldowns. (4) Sustain shoulders and chest. Add size to traps and upper chest. I intend to grow, grow, grow. First priority - quality sleep, tons of food. To be an animal you must eat like an animal and train like an animal.
Weight Goal: I want to GAIN 8 lb
Bodyfat Goal: 10%

What type of nutrition plan are you currently following? Give full details.
I'm currently on the "see-food" diet. It works really well.

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
I try not to waste too much energy pre-workout by punching shit and yelling or whatever. Save some of that ATP for the iron! Just staying focused and keeping ego out of the session works for me.

What tips would you give to others to help them stay motivated over the long-term?
Take plenty of pictures. I haven't taken a picture of myself in quite a while which has hindered my enthusiasm and momentum. You won't see results from day to day workouts but over longer periods of t...more

I don't really know how to explain the ups and downs of training. There are some weeks where inspiration finds a nice, soiled pigs trough and attempts to drown itself in the mucky filth and I barely get by. The majority of this time, workouts are 5 sets per exercise in a pyramid of...

Well it was very well written. It is always the sentiment that counts. Yes, I love my little bloggie. Definitely in my top 5 of fun things to do with my time.

How did I know you'd be a Buk fan! Ham on Rye definitely top 5. South of No North probably my fav. You should check out some of his beneficiaries' money-grubbing-post-mortem releases. Many are older & quite good!

I spotted an "owski in there, so I point you to some Charles Bukowski, "I was always charmed by hypochromic beldams, inchoate slatterns, caseated mesdames, slimy prostitutes and piss-drinking shrews". And how!

Boy, do I ever. I, too have experienced exponential gains in my right adductor pollicis. I like to bring a steperciser platform and superset one minute jazzercise routines with my long drives. Big spoon, baby.

Animal, great to hear from you. Yes, I'm still blastin' away at the iron even with George MIA from the gym. Intensity is way up along with morning cardio and abs work. I am considering competing next year since my cut has been going well. I'm revving up for another 12 week 5X5 to take me to the end of the year. Keep in touch and post more here on BodySpace. -Jeff

it was an elbow/tricep injury... I have another injury on the other elbow now. Some kind of strain. It affects my pull ups and chins. Most everything else is ok though. I had to drop the liver tabs. They were giving me problems and will never use them again.

Dude! That's like a 0.05% over resting baseline! You can pack away your Gazelle, as you've unearthed cardio heaven. Yeah, the downside to liking frisbee golf is that hippies like frisbee golf. I've had to give more than one Widespread-Panic-T-wearing granola a 50g approach shot sideways disc-enema. Boy, didn't I just take a gamble that you don't have WSP next to Dillinger in your iPod? I caught a DEP video on the Relapse mixed DVD. So strong. Stay strong, al

My stress levels are a little high now because it's a busy time at work - but nothing unusual. Eating habits have been my downfall over the years. But, they are better, too. In fact I expect to show a weight and bodyfat loss when I weigh in this week. I'm heading out for some time in the sun next week myself. Though it's for work it will be nice to be away from winter for a few days.

Mutha, I buy my shirts by the dozen at WalMart. My prized thongs, however, I purchase from Victoria Secret then subject them to my Bedazzler, ironically also purchased from WalMart. My dolphin shorts, I hand loom with oyster shell combs.

Forget bile...I'm going straight blood this time. I picked up The Sword and have been enjoying it quite a bit. I Netflixed a couple of Slayer vids with one of note...war at the warfield. Hope all is well with the Mutha, al
