How I Started:
I got tired of sitting around my room doing absolutely nothing. I was always sleeping, always feeling tired and I was eating fast food all the time because I was too lazy to buy healthy food. I wanted to change my life style and my body.
I hurt my shoulder early in 2007 so I fell off the wagon for six months, got back into weight lifting, screwed my shoulder AGAIN playing baseball, so I was out for another six months and now I'm getting back into lifting again.
Why I Love It:
I love the sense of well being after a work out. I was given this body and I believe its my decision and my decision alone to let this magnificent machine lay around and get fat and lazy or get it in shape. I'm choosing the latter.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at the various muscle and fitness magazines I own, reading everyday peoples' testimonies, and me being stubborn by not letting failure be an option. I just watched Pumping Iron recently...good shit. It helps going to Wal-Mart every once and awhile and seeing what kinds of people let themselves just.....go...I don't ever want to be like that. Its my body, I have nothing else to call my own so I'm going to take care of it.

This was taken about 30 minutes before I started my weight lifting program.
Gain 5 pounds of muscle by the start of school (Aug) and lose 5-7 percent bodyfat by the same time.
Goal (Long):
I like the New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding workouts and I would like to do them consistantly. I would really like to increase my bench press. I want to bulk up to a nice 240 lbs at 12% body fat sometime in my life.
I have two room mates in my barracks room. There's a bunk bed and a single. I'm on the bottom bunk. So, I'm sleeping soundly in my room when I wake up around 3 in the morning to a big sounding THUMP. My room mate fell off the top bunk in his sleep and broke his toe. I was like "Man,...
