ILLINIdrummer it reminds me of a kinesiology course i took at my uni. ALTHOUGH, this isn't the golden rule. i see people who grow from doing 20+ reps on leg press and squats. they really take it to the next level! i guess dieting also plays a huge contribution to hypertrophy results as well. ILLINIdrummer Thanx, brah! I appreciate it! i make sure i get the most out of my workouts by how i look in the mirror (quality) than merely the scale (quantity). but anywho, layne norton's phat is ingenious! i guess some exercises he has 12-15+ reps b/c smaller muscles (i.e., biceps and triceps) need more reps to help them physically grow. whereas the bigger muscles (i.e., chest and legs) need around 6-10 rep-range to help them grow more effectively. i really liked the link you showed me. ILLINIdrummer I also always have a spotter for my preacher curls, so I can bust out a few more reps (even though he's lifting 50% of the load, lol). I also LOVE incorporating rest-pause techniques near the last set of most exercises (i.e., 8 reps of preacher curls to failure, rest for 5-10 seconds, then rep out 2 more reps, finish). ILLINIdrummer Heyhey, bro! Thanks for the compliment! I used to do Layne Norton's PHAT last summer. Now, I always do one power movement for the very first exercise of every workout (everything else is hypertrophy/bodybuilding style). For my arm workouts, I make sure I always squeeze like maddd (at LEAST 7-8 reps). Apr 11, 2012 3:36am

plattman02 haha thank you! honestly i dont follow a strict diet, i just stay conscious of what im taking in and never take in anything bad. and i am a swimmer which definitely helps with the body fat. currently i am running track though. the low body fat has always been in the genes for me though, but it is possible for anyone to reach this percentage as well.
