When I Started:
Jul, 2009
How I Started:
I became interested in getting fit so I sought advice from female fitness models. While most of them were helpful, one of them directed me to this site. I learned so much helpful information from the site and forums that I was able to set up a diet and exercise plan to start off my body transformation.
Why I Love It:
There is honestly no greater feeling of accomplishment than being drenched in sweat. I love pushing my body and working to make it the best that it can be. Plus I love what it does to my jeans size. :)
How I Stay Motivated:
I remember that I never regret doing a workout but I always regret missing one.
BB Accomplishments:
My journey has only begun. I don't have any accomplishments yet to speak of, but hopefully one day I will! :)
I want to lower my bodyfat percentage and then gain muscle so that I can maybe one day pursue fitness modeling.
Goal (Long):
I have never been in sports or pursued anything along the lines of physical fitness. I want to go against the grain and become a fit woman with a killer six-pack. I don't care if some guys think muscles on women aren't attractive. I don't want to attract a boy. I need a real man. ;) I want to go bikini shopping and only run into trouble when I can't decide which to pick of the 20 that look amazing on me. I want to be proud of my body and feel confident even when I'm just in sweats. I want to maybe even pursue a career in fitness modeling. Most importantly, I want to learn to love my body. I know that with hard work, determination, and dedication I can do this. It won't be easy, but I won't give up!
She gives such good advice and has made some serious progress not only in shaping up her body but in defeating her eating disorder. She has shown me that if she can do it, so can I! :)
Alas, here I am. I've made it. I stand here stronger, wiser, and more determined than I have been in my entire life. I have managed to break free from the clutches of an eating disorder, peel away years of built up inhibitions, welcome colors other than black into my wardrobe, and learn...
Different things for different people, but you may want to try to gain muscle first and then lose the fat. Having more muscle means your body burns more calories just to keep going. Also, some studies show it's easier to put on lean muscle mass when your body has some extra "stored energy" (fat).
Best!
