Overall Goal: I hope that I may be able to glorify God through my lifting and hopefully show others the love of Christ. I just finished my first competition with an excellent Christian run organization. It's time to recomp and add more mass for next time.

When I Started:
Mar, 2004
How I Started:
I worked out all through High School and I got very strong and heavy(225lbs). The problem was that my diet sucked. When I started College, I stopped lifting and kept my poor diet. After a year of getting fatter, I looked in the mirror and saw a fat, 235lb mess. I decided to lose weight and I did so the wrong way all the way down to 155lbs. All the muscle I used to have was gone and I was a skinny guy with no muscle. Right then and there I decided to eat right and do what I could to get a good body. I got back in the gym and started reading articles on bbing.com.
Why I Love It:
I'm completely addicted to it.
How I Stay Motivated:
My friends, both on bodyspace and at school, keep my spirits lifted with compliments and they keep me wanting more. Good competition between myself and the guys at the gym helps. I competed for the first time on July 21, 2007 and now I am more motivated than ever to improve my physique. Above all else, I want to make my body as fit and healthy as possible and do it all for God's glory.
BB Accomplishments:
5th in my first competition.

"But we know deep down that the perfect body or ultimate personal record can never really be achieved, because our imagination always sets the goal a step or two or three ahead of what we've accomplished. And we also know that the universe is merciless enough to give us a few physical challenges that we won't be, can't be, prepared for." -TC

Christmas 2003, Freshman year of college, I saw these pictures and decided I was tired of being fat. Lost all the weight the wrong way so I lost all my muscle too. 240 lbs here and then went down to 155 lbs.
I hope that I may be able to glorify God through my lifting and hopefully show others the love of Christ. I just finished my first competition with an excellent Christian run organization. It's time to recomp and add more mass for next time.

Description: It's me doing the mandatory poses at approximately 5 weeks pre-contest. The lighting is terrible and it washes me out badly, but I promise, the definintion is getting there.

This is by far the most arduous semester I have ever had to endure. I have a lot on my plate so to speak. I am not trying to complain by any means, but rather I am just enlightening any readers as to why I have been relatively silent on Bodyspace the past couple of months. Currently,...
