When I Started:
Apr, 2007
How I Started:
I bought these GoFit clothes which came with a work out CD and I have been using it and tweeking it ever since. I was 260 and now I am down to 240. My waist was 42 now I am a 38.
Why I Love It:
The way it relieves stress, the energy I feel. I like socializing with everyone and trading secrets and tips. I was in a car accident and the doctor said that most people would feel the pain the next day but because of me working out so much, he said I probably would bounce back fast. I didn't feel anything!
How I Stay Motivated:
I think about what I have gotten done so far and I want to push myself to how far I can go. I tell my self when I am working out "this weight ain't sh*t" no matter how heavy it is to convince myself that I can do more. I love it.
BB Accomplishments:
On December 26th, 2007, I leg pressed 1005lbs 2 times.
Get down to 197 by October to be prepared for Marine Corps, OCS.
Goal (Long):
I was 5'8 181lbs in high school. I played football but after I stopped I just ate and got lazy until i was 5'11 and 260lbs this past April. I am currently down to 208 and I need to get down to 197 in order to get into the Marine Corps. I know that it is a very achievable goal.
I would like to do these more often to keep a journal but we will see how I do. So far I have been going to Krav Maga and Judo every week. I have missed Judo for the past two weeks since I am waiting on my Gi order.
The Rep and Weight changes by week but the workout is the
same. I am back in college now but when this first semester is over, the days will go back to this. For now I work out the 4 days when I can.
Cardio is up for grabs. Done ever day but what I do changes because I dont like it. I...
4 hours of anything sounds like a gym to me. Especially all the manual movement. I'm in the same boat. Lost 40 pounds so far and my clothes look laughable. Been in the gym faithfully though. Can't wait to take some time off mid Sept.
Good luck with the trimming and the weight class! My holiday was good. Spent time back at my parents house with all my kids for the first time in a while. They liked it but it was a lot of work for me.
