OK, so I feel like I have been slacking on the journaling and recording of my work-outs, but I have not been slacking on the dieting and the training. I am doing a carb cycling diet, and I love the loading days, but the low carb days are rough. I have been sooo tired by the time I get to...

Happy 4th of July to you and everyone. Have a good one!
Carb-depletion/loading cycles accomplish the goal of cutting down water and glycogen storage levels but you are paying the price of sapping muscle tissue of bulk and shape in the process. This is the reason exercise on carb depleted days you feel feather light and non-explosive.
Hi Alissa. You look fantastic. I am trying some carb cycling myself. I'm not competing so depletes are not in the picture for me. Maybe I'll do one day of no carbs on a non-workout day. I think it's one of those things that pushes your body past plateaus and very effective. Maybe not good for long term but good for your comps! Keep at it! You look fantastic and your hard work shows!
The only carbs that need excluding are manufactured sugars. Glycogen based complex carbohydrates. Removing good carbs from your diet only deflates the muscle tissue and makes you crave sweets. Muscles never need deflating, especially when all you care about is how ripped your abs look. Abs are overrated.
