When I Started:
Mar, 2006
How I Started:
I had lost about 45 lbs with Weight Watchers but was basically just a smaller fat person. Wanted to get some tone and didn't really know where to start, so I joined Curves. That got me started and then I met a friend who offered to be my workout buddy and help train me, so I joined a gym and I guess I got hooked. Now I do it on my own, with the help of magazines, friends and this site.
Why I Love It:
I like knowing that I'm doing something good for me. (I also like being able to out-do 1/2 the guys at the gym ;-) when it comes to squats and leg presses)
How I Stay Motivated:
I remind myself daily that this is a marathon, not a sprint. There is no magic pill. And I didn't put the weight ON overnight, so it won't come OFF overnight. I've also joined some great bodygroups and met some wonderful people on this site that have helped a lot!
BB Accomplishments:
Putting myself first and just getting started has been a major accomplishment. Stay tuned...

Well, the new program worked pretty well and I burned some serious calories, but we all know diet is 80% of the battle, so I decided to change my diet fairly drastically and take on Lyle McDonald's "Rapid Fat Loss" plan to drop some pounds.
That's the hard truth about being fit, it's all on you most of the time. That's what makes it so special when you do reach your goals. You have people out here who support you and inform you, but no one did the work for you. Go get your sista girl.
Sometimes you have to go at it alone. Dependance on others can be harmful. At least you know that you can depend on you and if results are not coming then its all on you.
Thanks, girl! I'm trying, it's going to be harder now that I returned to work, but I've got to push through it. How are you doing? I know you've been working a lot...how's the diet going?
You are making excellent progress. Great job. You have thinned out some between your beginning progress pix to the latest ones. Stay with it and you will see your goals soon enough! Stay motivated!
Awesome job on the weight loss!! Wow, 15 lbs in 2 weeks and 4% bf...well, you know what it evens out for the weeks before where you worked hard and didn't see any results...keep up the good work!
