I love sports and have always been involved in all sorts of activities growing up, particularly volleyball, swimming, and track. But, I believe it was in P.E. class in high school during my freshman year that I realized I could bench my bodyweight (120 lbs). From there, I found it fun and challenging to see how strong I could get. After college, I ran 4 marathons in 15 months in hopes to qualify for the Boston Marathon- that is when I started to take fitness very seriously. Since the Los Angeles Marathon in March 2007, I have taken a "hiatus" from endurance running and have focused more on strength training, high intensity cardio, and competing in Figure.
Why I Love It:
Its amazing what hard work can do. A person can really change the way he or she feels when fitness and good nutrition is a part of life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by remembering what my goals are. I think that by staying in great shape and setting an example motivates and inspires others, which in turn further motivates me to be the best I can be.
BB Accomplishments:
NPC 2009 Tournament of Champions, 2nd, Figure B
NPC 2009 Orange County Classic- 5th, Figure B

Much to my surprise, I actually got to shoot with SecondFocus! After I got over my initial shock, surprise, amazement, or whatever you want to call it, I did an amazing photo shoot with the very talented, Ian Sitren of SecondFocus Photography in Palm Springs, CA. I spent an awesome day...
Yep, I was there. I was sponsoring a bikini and a figure contestant. They both did well for first shows. Are you thinking of coming to the Expo in Jan? Fabulous pic, by the way!
Awww...that's too bad. USC and ND usually is a battle...I'm pulling for ND, since I attended UCLA for my MBA. Sports makes for unusual bedfellows...:) Keep up the impressive work...the Excalibur is a wonderful year-ending event.
