When I Started:
Mar, 1981
How I Started:
Started in college. Then, off & on during my 20's. Worked out regularly in my late 20's & early 30's. Got out of shape in my mid to late 30's, due to busyness of life, kids, etc.
2002: WHOA!!....Wake-up call. Hit 170 lbs, a weight I had never come close to. Lost 25 lbs in 4-5 mths. Consistent workouts since then.
2008: Came across the BB.com body transformations online. Inspired to improve diet to drop more BF% to get leaner.
LESSON LEARNED: Since 2002, I’ve been in pretty good shape, doing weight training & cardio, but still had a layer of BF covering up all my efforts. I generally ate healthy, but I have a weakness for snacking at night after dinner. I used to think that getting lean was 80% exercise and 20% diet. Finally learned that getting lean is probably 80% diet and 20% exercise.
Why I Love It:
1) Always feel great after working out.
2) HUGE LIFE IMPROVEMENT: In 2002 I also started taking vitamins & improved my eating habits. I now have FAR LESS problem with lower back pain (I have scoliosis) & migraine headaches. Plus, I went from being the most likely to get sick in our family to the least likely.
How I Stay Motivated:
1) Workouts: No problem. It's one of the best parts of my day. Plus, there's not much to interfere with a 5-5:30am workout.
Diet: Different story with staying off the junk food & sweets (esp at night, after dinner). A lifetime bad habit of using food to relieve stress or boredom.
2) My daughters will be teens when I’m in my mid-late 50’s. I want to keep up w/ them! Also, stay fit & active for decades to come.
BB Accomplishments:
1) Kept the lbs off since 2002.
2) PR of 20 pullups at age 47 (Jun & Jul '09). HUGE for me, since I'm not Joe Jock.
CLEAN EATS & FEW CHEATS: Don't be a diet pansy....
Goal (Long):
After I find my long lost abs, I want to try a mini-triathlon. I think I could handle training now (I'm in pretty good shape), but want to wait until I've reached my goal of more definition.
Warren demonstrates great determination & dedication by hitting the workouts 2 or 3 times a day, working out as time permits in his busy days as a single parent. He's an involved Dad w/ his daughters, and is a great role model for them, for fitness & as a good person.

Yes
What type of injury was it? How long were you injured? How did you recover?

Do you sometimes use energy enhancing supplements?
Yes
Which supplements do you take? When do you take them?
I had my 1st cheat last night since the end of May. The nice thing is, it was not an over-the-top binge fest. But, it was surely a carb load compared to most of the past 5 weeks. Man-o-man did it fuel my cardio this...
