How I Started:
High School would be starting the next year, and I wanted to have a better body, so I went with a new years resolution to start working out. I bought a light set of dumbbells and started doing bicep curls in my room. I then added a little abdominal work in there to shape up a bit.
Why I Love It:
I love feeling the pump after lifting, and i like how i feel accomplished after lifting heavy. I always feel great after good sweat, and a shower of course!
How I Stay Motivated:
I set numerical goals to shoot for. Its an easy way, at least it is for me, to make my goals something a little more tangible.

Goal (Long):
All my life I have desired a fit body, and i would participate in anything that would help me to break a sweat. I started lfting weights at age sixteen, originally just to have the biggest biceps of any of my friends. Then I started taking lifting more seriously a few years later and put on 15lbs of muscle over the period of one year. Unfortunately, I wasn't one for team sports; too small for football, not tall enough for basketball, not into soccer, and not coordinated enough for baseball. I eventually found gymnastics, and trained for a brief period of time before moving on to Olympic Weightlifting.
I want to be a fitness model! I want to win a contest! I want to push my body to its limit! I want to be in a magazine!
She has the definition of what the abdominals should look like, for men or women. Defined, but not overdone. She inspires me to work hard on my abs, and hopefully one day mine will be as nice as hers are!

i've been doing dips for tri's, but not weighted. will have to add that extra push. gotta say, if you're not concentrating on the bi's your results are amazing. what are you doing for defintion? any cardio. or you just have a supercharged metaqbolism??
