Dennis' transformation from his youth is amazing. He trains 'hardcore' in his private backyard gym and has built an impressive physique. He's also turning out to be a great physique photographer (especially considering that all of his progress photos are using a tripod and self-timer). Imagine what he can do if/when he takes photos of someone else. Awesome job, Senor Gonzalez! I'm proud of you!
StressMonkey [ BodySpace ]
StressMonkey's chest development inspires me to be more consistent in the gym. His thickness is impressive.

What do you think about people who "grunt" loudly while working out? Do you do it?
If the weight is heavy, then it's understandable in the last few reps, but if they're just showing off, they need to stop.

Do you socialize while at the gym?

Hey guys!

Ok, quite a few folks have asked me what I've been doing for chest lately, so here it is.

StressMonkey and I have both been pretty consistent with having pushups as a daily part of our chest workout, so here's my structured pushup routine that I do:

Using the...

Current Supplements:
Optimum Micronized Creatine Powder, 2000 Grams
Started: Mar 01, 2000
Reason: I wanted to add strength and muscle density to my physique.
Optimum 100% Whey Protein, 5 Lbs., Double Rich Chocolate
Started: Apr 13, 2002
Reason: It tastes so good! And it mixes very well. :)
Optimum BCAA 1000 Caps, 200 Capsules
Started: May 10, 2002
Reason: I've been taking amino acids for almost 20 years, but this brand I started taking back in 2002.

How much protein do you eat when trying to gain? I have been getting in 185 grams (1.5xbw), 244 carbs (2xbw), and 70 grams fat (~0.6 g/b) and still not gaining weight. I was wondering if I should bump everything up a bit, or keep protein whhere it is at and just up carbs/fats.

We gotta rep for the over 40 and show these kids we still have something to offer. I'm gonna bench 400 on my 42 B-Day thats my personal goal. Maybe then my chest will be as big as yours.

I recently switched up my workout plan...I do Back,Bicep-Legs-Chest,Triceps, Shoulders (3 times a week) and circuits 3 times a week dealing with the same muscles groups so I work out each group twice a week. I rest Sundays. As far as m diet....lol! I have been eating boiled eggs and toast in the morning, subway for lunch and whatever my girl cooks for dinner. Usually she cooks very healthy. I am feeling better about my new workout schedule. Need to start seeing abs! Any suggestions??

at the same calorie level. Or would it be the same really. I just dont have a big appetite at all and the more moderate approach seems much easier to stomach due to caloric density of fat. When you started gaining did you always keep fat low?
