I was going through a REALLY tuff time in my life fighting depression and drug addiction and knew that I needed to make a change or end up dead. I always wanted to workout and thought that it would be the thing that would somehow change my hole life with a single decision. Then on my birthday in 2008 I decided to go get a membership and see if it would help. Just as I thought ever since that first day my hole life has took a major turn for the better. As you can see from my before and after picture It turned me into a totally new person and with every new day my life gets better and better. as I look forward to my next training session knowing that it will add just a little bit more quality to my mind body and soul !
Why I Love It:
Its a foundation for every other aspect of your life giving you more health, wealth, self esteem, diceplin, confedence, Puts you in control of your own life. The people that turned into really good friends that train at the same gym.
How I Stay Motivated:
watching my body change, feeling healthier, knowing your doing something good for yourself. enjoying the pain of lifting the heavy weight and the pain that comes the next few days after the workout because it lets me know I pushed myself in the gym and I am going to grow bigger and stronger because of it ! Meeting my friends at the gym to train with. Hearing the positive comments from friends, family, and people that you have never met before. All the new types of training programs and all the endless types of exercises you can do. you can never get bored there is ALWAYS something new to try !

What is the most dangerous weightlifting exercise? Why?
The Deadlift. Because from the starting position your lower back is extremely vunrable to injury for the fact that it is easy for the lower back to round and if that happens during the lift you could end up at a physiotherapists coach for quit some time. The Deadlift. Hey man.. I've been training seriously for about a year (that's when I really dedicated myself) But I've been lifting on and off for 4 or 5 years.
Your Diet is absolutely at least 80% of the game. Training is just a part of the game. In order: Diet, Rest, Training.... If one of those is off you'll be missing out on some gains.
Oh I try to eat 6 times per day but depending on my schedule. There are times I may only eat 4 times per day but thats ok because the body is very resourceful. If you miss a meal your body will make up for it by absorbing more nutrients the next time you do eat.
Good progress for 1 year of training there! It's hard to say exactly what an individuals top potential is and how long it will take to reach it. So many variables come into play. Genetics, activity level, stress, rest, diet, training, and supplementation all come into play. What I have is 23 years in the making and I have hit many bumps in the road along the way! Keep up the great work! I think you have the potential to do very well!
haha i hear you on that one, i'm constantly thinking about different workouts and healthy meals! i just recently started getting serious about lifting and eating clean so i'm looking forward to seeing some progress, just gotta remember to take it day by day...
hey man thanks for the cardio tip, I'm gonna try and mix it up besides the treadmill and the elliptical. Just got a question on the quickmass and your thoughts on it, because i'm thinking about taking it in between meals when i'm at school.
thanks and keep pushing it.
