Overall Goal: To ride in the MS 150 October 3-4. It is a 172 mile bike ride from St. Augustine, FL to Daytona the first day, and then back the next day.
I have some serious training ahead of me! All advice is welcome and appreciated!!!
Fit Status:
So I did it! I completed my first sprint triathlon...and I am officially hooked! I am looking to sign up for another one! :)
I really starting getting serious about losing weight this past January. I decided to start running in the park next to my place. The park has 1/10 mile markers and the first day I could only run 1/10 walk 1/10...I knew I wanted to be able to run around it without stopping...so every other day I started going around making sure that I went a little further each time. Then in March I decided to join a gym and mix things up a little...Long story short...I became addicted to working out.
Why I Love It:
I have never felt so good about myself before. I always had a hard time making eye contact with people because I was so insecure and now I feel like nothing can stop me. I am just amazed how you can reshape your body with hard work.
I will never go back...I am here to stay healthy! :)
How I Stay Motivated:
Everytime I get to put on a smaller size or I see a new muscle come through...nothing is better than that! :)
BB Accomplishments:
Losing 49lbs to date! And running my first 5k this past Thanksgiving, '08.

Wow...I was huge. 186lbs I was really unhappy here; I had a bit of a cancer scare and had to have a few proceedures to remove some precancerous cells from my cervix. After the proceedures my doctor told me that I couldnt work out for a month...and this is where it all started. I gained a ton...

Goal (Long):
Since I started running in January it has been my goal to run a 5k...and I completed it on Thanksgiving 2008!
I have never weighed 135lbs and after looking at other women on this site that are about my age and my height I think that 135lbs would suit me really well. Some of my friends and family tell me not to lose any more weight...but I think it is just because they are used to me being so heavy that they can't imagine me any smaller...but I am doing it the right way, with eating clean and exercising, so I know that I can be happy and healthy at 135...
Ok, so I am absolutely thrilled that I have lost 49lbs to date...HOWEVER...why did I have to lose by boobs in the process?!?!?! LOL...not too much of them...but damn, even in 6th grade I was a C cup...and now I am a B cup! :( No bueno!
Wow, that's cool, go kick some ass!! Yup, all is good here, just been working on leaning up....gotta get a better look at the muscles I built over the winter:) Goal was 175 - 180 @ <10%bf by end of '09....too easy though, got to set something more challenging....maybe by July?? -CK

Hello Gorgeous Ashley glad to hear your training is going well. As for me ive just returned from a hamstring tear. My legs are about 90% now and i was able to lift quite heavy today Like leg press was 726lbs and squats and deadlifts were 360lbs and calf raises and leg ext were 660lbs and i managed cardio HIT 20 mins so im pretty happy aye
