How I Started:
I've always been an athlete, I played everything from soccer to basketball, I've always been a runner and I even tackled powerlifting. But even then I wasn't into lifting, I was really thin and toned from all my activities. But with age came....well bad knees lol. So 2 dear friends of mine in the summer of 07 got me back into the gym. They gave me great eating and lifting tips. So now I LOVE fitness and every aspect of it.
Why I Love It:
It helps me with my confidence. I love molding my body to how I want to look. It's a challenge but it's worth it. It's also a dream of mine to become a personal trainer and fitness model...so I have to work hard.
How I Stay Motivated:
By reading and studying. I admire Tanji Johnson and Melissa Hall..... and esp. Alicia Marie! They keep me motivated. All the women on this site also keep me motvated.... it's great to see so many beautiful and strong ladies on here. Also by seeing other people, I'm naturally competitive so I want to be the best. I want to one day inspire people how I've been inspired.

Goal (Long):
I'm doing pretty good back at home with eating clean. Now that I'm TDY it's challenging due to the fact I don't have a kitchen but I'm trying. Eating clean is def worth it and I'm looking leaner by the day. I had knee surgery back in September and it's much better but I'm still working on getting knee healthy and regain that muscle and strength in my leg that I lost. My long term goal is to obtain my BA in fitness promotions (which I am working on now), a certification to be a personal trainer and compete. I eventually want to own my own gym/fitness center one day.

Well Wednesday I caught a nasty stomach virus and couldn't hold down anything for the past two days. well I'm back at work and I feel awful! I lack all energy and I know I'm dehydrated. I just want to get better :-(
Getting deployed, thats awesome. Great opportunity to put on some "desert muscle". Heading to Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan? I'm in A-town right now and loving it.
I understand. For me to drop water weight and keep it off, I have to do serious cardio about 3 times a week at about 1 hour 30 minutes each time. I am doing fine. Terry

you go girl! You really surprised me with this. you're doing great! keep up the hard work and remember to stay motivated and keep your eyes on the prize even on those days it seems harder than usual. with your determination and alil guidance from me, we'll both be ready for a show by spring. good work bb girl!!
