When I Started:
Sep, 2006
How I Started:
Started doing pushups and working with one set of 15 Ib dumbbells around 13 and got pretty strong doing nothing but repping out for one set. Once I got to high school, I found I had some knarly stregth for a freshman and was able to bench and squat more than anyone else in the class. But I didn't truly get into bodybuilding until after Summer '06 where I dropped about 80 Ibs of flab and saw that I could transform my body. I hadn't worked with weights for three years since my senior year of high school, so my strength has dropped significantly, but I'm well on my way back to it with better know-how and actual goals in mind.
Why I Love It:
The sense of accomplishment, seeing how I can transform my body, and the idea that I'm never limited in my capacity to improve.
How I Stay Motivated:
Constantly working out and seeing the results they bring keep me motivated enough, but getting envious and hungry looks from guys and girls (respectively!) helps too. :)
BB Accomplishments:
Though I wasn't into bodybuilding when I accomplished it, I consider my max bench of 315 an accomplishment considering I was only seventeen and 5'6"
awh well thank you, I didn't think it was sexist. I try not to be "too big" I want to stay looking feminine. Nice split in your shoulder/bicep area. Looks great!
sup bro?! checked out your progress photos. great job! definitely feels good when you look back doesn't it? you're doing great! keep training hard and best of luck with your goals!
saw your progress pics. Congratulations! you did some awesome work on your dieting! I know its all about the nutrition and eating healthy. I believe in cutting to baseline then bulking up using the best proteins. I think i am following that same path!
