I take a whey protein, by Optimum Nutrition (Gold Standard, though I am currently using their Platinum Standard Hyro Whey, cookies and creme flavor yummmmm), I take fish oil with omega-3s, a multivitamin, and a CLA supplement. Also stack my protein with an NOS pump after my workouts. So far, it's working. My arms and back muscles are looking more defined. My legs are finally shrinking down a little, my skin, hair and nails look better, and I feel better overall. So that's gotta be a good thing.
