I am a real "hard-gainer".
I have found it very difficult over the years to put on much weight.
If I could, then it would be around my shoulders, lats and chest where I would like to add this weight.
... I can only keep on trying.

At 57 years of age, I think I still have a bicep worthy of showing to people.
It is not that big.
But at least it has a basic shape of some description.
Apr 17, 2009
I seem to have a pretty good looking rib-cage.
What I need to do is put more "meat" on my "bones".
But one thing I can admit and confess is that my chest is a "baldy".
It has never been waxed or shaved.
Apr 17, 2009
This pic was taken when I was cold.
For some reason I like it.
Don't know why?
It would probably be the most least complimentary photo in my whole Gallery.
Apr 23, 2009
One thing I do like is the feeling of a good "pump" in my biceps.
It is an incredible feeling.
Second only to a good "pump" throughout my whole upper body.
Apr 25, 2009
OK. I am the first to admit that my body development will never be good enough for me to compete in any body building competition. I wish that could have been the case.
Never mind.
I am just grateful for the body that I have got today.
And especially so.
... given my age.
Apr 29, 2009
Good natural lighting makes a difference when taking photo's.
As in this case.
I like this pic because I had a good "pump" on at the time.
May 3, 2009
I have deliberately tried to increase the size of my ribcage over recent times. To that extent I have had some success.
But putting more "meat" on those "bones" is another story.
May 8, 2009
This shoulder and arm has taken a lot of work in recent times.
And they are going to take a lot more work in the near future.
...and the "pain".
No pain ... no gain!
May 8, 2009
This is probably one of my favourite pics.
Because it shows what I am trying to achieve.
Slim waist.
Tight torso.
Plenty of rib.
And with an upper body that has some element of obvious development.
I can only but keep on trying.
May 9, 2009
My shoulders can actually take quite a lot of work.
I hit them hard twice a week.
But some weeks I'm lazy.
And I leave them alone.
I also hit my biceps "hard" twice a week.
But development in that department is very slow.
And my pec's?
They need more work as well.
I know that!
...I can only but keep on trying!
May 11, 2009
I get a really good "feeling" working and pumping out my ribcage.
It might not look much!
But the "pumping" and "workout" is good for my self-esteem.
May 16, 2009
Not the most artistic of pics. But at least I have a shoulder of some description.
And a bicep that shows some level of development.
What I need to work on now is greater body tone, "hardness" and muscle definition.
May 17, 2009
Don't ask me why I posted this pic here.
Because I look like a "skinny rag".
But I like the sun on my body.
So I guess that could be a good reason for posting?
In the meantime ...
I can only : "Keep lifting ... keep eating - and keep going."

Having "big" shoulders is one of the key ingrediants to having a good body.
The size and development of ones shoulders sets the basis of what the proportions of the rest of a person's body should be.
...in my humble opinion!
May 18, 2009
Over recent times my biceps have become more defined, hard and even more toned.
They look bigger.
They even "feel" bigger.
But the tape measure says 14 inches is still 14 inches.
I must try a little "harder" and "smarter" to increase their size.
May 18, 2009
The shoulder appears to be developing and coming along quite good.
Now that I have worked out what exercises and training routine that appears to be working best for me in this regard.
I like to see my ribs being exposed. It helps enhance what little "muscle/meat" I have around my shoulders, arms and chest.
May 27, 2009
I "feel" like I am getting more solid.
But from this pic it doesn't appear that I am getting much bigger.
Time for me to change my whole training routine ... I think!

May 27, 2009
Someone suggested to me recently that I should get my nipples pierced.
Would that be a "gay" thing?
I am not gay.
Should I still get my nipples pierced?
May 30, 2009
My chest has been one of the weakest parts of my body in recent times.
So I have been hitting it pretty hard lately to try and redress that "weakness".
I think I have been making some development progress.
I can only but keep on trying!
Jun 5, 2009
My chest and torso have always been "bald".
Neither has ever been waxed or shaved.
So I guess I am really fortunate in this regard.
Jun 6, 2009
Don't know what feels best...getting a good "pump" or having good "sex"?
Having both at the same time is certainly an experience.
...I give you the tip!
Jun 6, 2009
For the last few weeks I have really been hitting my chest/pecs with "shock tactics" and "shock workouts" 2 times a week.
Been working them to the max.
2-3 days rest between workouts.

Could a bicep split be starting to emerge?
I hope so.
That would be rather unique.
I do think!
So this is something for me to keep working on.
As well as the veins that are starting to emerge.
Jun 20, 2009
My small bicep is not as small as it used to be.
But it is still small when compared to many others on display here at bb.com.
But it is the best I have got at the moment.
I can only but keep working on it to try and make it bigger.

Being a tall guy (at 6'3") with a slim bone structure means I will never get to be HUGE.
But what I am trying to achieve is to develop my body to be well muscled, with good definition and well proportioned.
To that end I think I am finally starting to succeed to a certain extent.
I'm not into bulking up.
I would rather stay lean and "Keep pumping ... keep eating - and keep going".

Behind good pair of pec's, one needs a good rib-cage.
So I put in just as much effort to try and expand my rib-cage as I do in trying to develop my pec's.
Fully pumped and flexed, as in this photo, my chest measures 44 inches.
Jul 14, 2009
My shoulders have taken a lot of work in recent times.
I am now starting to see real results of that effort.
A good pair of shoulders is one of the basics to a well proportioned physique. So I'm pleased that mine are slowly growing in this regard.

Jul 15, 2009
Stretching and then flexing my chest muscles with great intensity, several times now and then, has really helped bring out more definition with my chest.
When I flex my chest muscles, I flex, crunch and try and hold that pose for at least one minute.
Jul 15, 2009
My two favourite exercises with regards to my triceps is the standing military press and dips.
I also like to flex, crunch and hold the pose, as per this pic, for up to one minute from time to time.

Biceps, and their size, is probably the "Show Pony Department" for any bobybuilder.
Unfortunately for me, my biceps are still under-developed to any great extent.
I can only but keep on trying to enhance their growth and development.
Jul 16, 2009
A solid bicep flex, gives one a really good feeling of personal body power and strength.
The more intense the flex, the greater the feeling of power and strength appears to be!
I like it.
Jul 17, 2009
Biceps can take an awesome amount of work.
But does that work necessarily translate into bicep development results? ... No! - not always!
But one can only keep on trying - to build a descent pair of "guns".
Jul 17, 2009
My chest is nothing special when compared to many others on this website (bb.com).
But it is the best I can show to date.
I can only but keep on pumping!
and pumping!
and pumping!
and pumping!
... and working hard.
Jul 22, 2009
One day "on" ... Two days "off".
That is how I have been training my shoulders and pecs.
Hit them "hard" when I hit them.
But give them time to recover.
This strategy seems to be working for me at the moment.
Jul 24, 2009
While I am not that 'big", I do enjoy the feeling of a good "pump".
The feeling of a good "pump" is awesome.
It is addictive.
... and I am addicted.

Regarding bodybuilding ...
I wish I knew 30 years ago what I know today.
Can't change the past.
So I'm happy to live the present and look to the future.
... at my age.
Jul 24, 2009
When the muscles are toned and hard.
And the body is in "pump".
One has an enormous feeling of strength.
It's an awesome experience.
Body feels strong.
But the "mind" feels stronger.
To want more.
And more
And more ...
Jul 24, 2009
The body that I've got is not perfect.
It's not huge.
It's not massive.
Or really muscular.
But I do feel solid within myself ...with what I've got .
Jul 25, 2009
Trying to build a body of any size, definition and strength requires many things.
One thing required is an "inner" strength and "heart" to keep on going and striving to succeed.
You could call it "courage"? The "courage" to strive to make your dreams and goals come true.

Jul 31, 2009
Feeling the hot sun on ones body is always an exhilarating feeling.
Feeling the sun lightly burning the chest is particularly enjoyable.
I like it.
Jul 31, 2009
Feeling the heat of the sun on my body makes me feel stronger than I think I really am.
But never-the-less.
It is a good feeling.
And one which I very much enjoy.
Jul 31, 2009
My shoulders are starting to square-up and gain a little more size.
Adding slightly better proportion to my upper body to make my physique look a little better.
... and about time too!
Aug 5, 2009
Doing my best to try and muscle-up.Easier said than done of course.
But I'm getting good pumps.
That gives me great encouragement to keep on going.
The feeling of a good pump is absolutely awesome.
Aug 6, 2009
A fully "pumped" chest is an awesome feeling.
Funny thing...it's - a very funny thing!
The greatest chest "pump" I get is from doing heaps of press-ups.
The more press-ups I do then the greater the "pump" I get.
Aug 7, 2009
I like this photo because it is a little unusual.
It is from an angle that is something new and a little different.
From me anyway.
Aug 9, 2009
After much effort over some time, it appears that some abs may be emerging.
But I am not "holding my breath" just yet.
But this apparent development does give encouragement for me work my abs and torso even harder in the "HOPE" that a descent set of abs will eventually come out to be seen!
Aug 10, 2009
Being a tall person (6'3"), I have never had any lats to speak of.
"Rubber bands" yes : "lats" no!
But at last I am getting some lat development.
That is the only reason I am posting this pic. Simply because it shows that some small lat development on my body has taken place ...yahoo!
Aug 13, 2009
The most significant thing about this photo, compared to my previous bicep pics, is the apparent slight development with regard to my tricep.
The tricep enhances the bicep.
So I am quite happy with the little progress I have made (in this department) over recent times.
Oct 10, 2009
My chest has always been able to take a lot of work.
And I work it to the max twice a week.
Still striving for greater mass and definition with regard to my pec's.
Oct 10, 2009
Even though I look rather "skinny" ... I like it.
At my age - I'm proud of it.
I'm 57.
Oct 11, 2009
Being a tall person is a great assist when trying to maintain a slim torso.
But trying to develop and produce a descent set of abs?
... well that is another story.
Oct 11, 2009
My left bicep has not grown that much in recent times.
But it has developed greater definition and a better appearance.
That is better than no change at all ... I guess!
Oct 11, 2009
Having tight and well pumped pecs is an awesome feeling.
To then flex those pecs to the max possible only enhances the overall experience.
And what a feeling/experience that really is.
