When I Started:
How I Started:
Was told I had good base (thick back and legs, big calves and big chest) and I should try cutting down and doing bodybuilding by some competitors at the gym I worked at.
Why I Love It:
Weights challenge not only the body but the mind. If you are scared of getting hurt you will, if you are confident and strong willed that weight will come off the ground.
How I Stay Motivated:
My girlfriend pushes me in the gym everyday and I want ultimately, in my fantasy world would love to enter a contest together and we both win our classes. I also want to have my 15 minutes of fame one day and this is the route I can see myself going to accomplish that. NO MATTER WHAT!!!
Be ready by late May or early June for my first show.
Goal (Long):
Last year I failed getting on stage for the first time. I quit 3 weeks out. Some may think I was scared, some may think I'm not mentally strong enough, etc etc. I don't give a **** what some think, I wasn't ready and I'm the toughest son of a bitch you will meet.If I am not properly prepared or don't think I can win in any sport then why even try. Its not worth trying if you don't think inside you can win. This year I will be ready giving myself ample time to diet and condition and I learned a lot about my body last year in my first try at dieting.
Progress is looking good!! Keep at it! Eat, sleep, train hard...nothing more rewarding than getting on that stage on show day! What show are you doing?
Thanks for all the encouragement, support, pushing, and motivational quotes ;) I also appreciate our cardio sessions, couldn't get through them w/o you Dan! We've really put alot of hard work in, BUT...the hardest part has yet to pass. Let's push harder the next few weeks. "I wanna beat him!"
The more vascular you get...the more scared I become when we're lifting ;) You look great, better and better each week. Just don't be such a bitch next time we do biceps...push! ha ha
