I'm always looking to raise the bar on how I live my life - I call it the Pursuit of Greatness.
Goal (Long):
I set different goals at different times to continue to push myself. I've cut lean, gained muscle, and now I'm focused on endurance. I run the Atlanta Thanksgiving Day Marathon, but my ultimate goal is a 50-mile ultramarathon in November 2008.

Hey friend. As I am sure you have noticed, I have been off the scene lately. A job change in September, coupled with tendonitis in my right elbow, has kept me out of the gym and off my routine. I am starting back and will need all the support I can muster. Surf by my blog occasionally and check on my progress. If you see progress, let me know. If not, let me have it! Don’t hold back – if I am going to get where I want to be I will need your help. Steve
I relate to your story - it is quite similar to my own. You were blessed though in reaching a decision much earlier. I agree with your emphasis on making a decision and counting the cost. Too few do this and that is why they never succeed. Perseverance because of a commitment to the journey is the other half needed in my opinion to stay the course.
Jeremy, happy Thanksgiving! Keep up the awesome work -- just don't eat too much. ;)

Hi Jeremy,
Still getting ready for that ultra. I did mine last week two days before I turned 40. It was an awesome 50K and I would definitely do it again.
