My trainer and Figure Coach, Terry Stokes asked me if I had ever thought about training for a show because he thought I had the body type to do it. I accepted his offer to train me and we have been inseperable ever since. He's my training rock!
My mom used to be a trainer a while ago, and I think I am just following in her footsteps.
Why I Love It:
I love the confidence that working out gives me. I feel stronger and sexier than I have ever felt in my life. I know how to be healthy and keep a healthy life. I can help other people live a healthy life.
How I Stay Motivated:
I want to go pro someday. I know I have a lot of work to do and it's a long road getting there, but I think I'm prepared to take on the challenge. Every day it seems I see a new muscle group come out or a new muscle ripple. That's what keeps me coming back.
Plus, the support from my trainer, Terry, is amazing. He makes me feel strong and like I could conquer anything.
BB Accomplishments:
I have done 4 shows so far. I placed better in my first show than I did the the shows following. The figure women who stepped on the stage were amazing and they just showed me how much harder I need to work if I am going to one day be one of the best.

I'l never forget where I started and I'll hopefully never go back there again.
OK - So I'm hardcore. Back at it and feeling strong. Getting ready for my next shows.
Goal (Long):
Figure season for 2008 has finished. I guess I am more hardcore than I thought because I did really think this was going to be my last season. Instead I'm back at it!.
Why do you like having a workout partner? What are the benefits?
We have a group of 8 figure girls who train together to compete together. It's both motivating and depressing sometimes!

What type of person at your gym annoys you the most? Why?
The person who interrupts me when I am trying to do my thing.

What type of outfit do you usually wear when you workout? Why?
Usually I wear a pair of pants or capris with a sports bra and tank top over that. That way if I get warm, I can take the tank top off and have the sports bra under it. Plus, I like to watch my arms when I work out and T-shirts are cumbersome.Usually I wear a pair of pants or capris with a sports bra and tank top over that. I was at the gym today and I found myself wondering when going to the gym became just another place to socialize. First of all, I am not a huge fan of big gyms, especially since Terry's place is small and intimate - you can work out without people on the machines you want or feel like you're...
I should do that. I really want to step things up to the next level. Half my battle is diet and eating clean also. I do pretty well, but again, to get to that next level you have to step it up.
Good for you, I love your attitude. I've been trainng hard but feel like I need to switch things up, things are getting stale. I'd like to have a trainer design a program for me.
Oh yeah, I do one day off each week no excuses too!! The show is October 4th in San Antonio!! And hells yeah...crossfit is where its at!! But Terry's workouts are HARDCORE too girl!!
Hey Wendy!! I'm good! Have a date set for a fall comp! Doing the crossfit workouts!! Things are going good right now! Still working on getting moved to Texas! How are you doing girl? LOVE your avi!! Rings girl...you are BADA**!!
doing well.. last 4 weeks before the diet hits hard... can't wait!! want to see what kind of muscle i now have!! seriously it is next year I can't wait for! more time = more muscle!
FG, you finally changed your profile pic lol, I have you as a friend and I saw this new pic and I was like - love the red dress. Keep up the hard work, you look great. clc.
thanks for the add and the tips! I'm right on track, my diet and program is pretty much what you said! :) Keep training hard and stay motivated! I look forward to witnessing your future successes!
That said, either option is a good choice, as long as you're keeping lifting. I just know personally for myself I always have to have something I'm working towards bettering and improving or I get BORED. If it's that way for you, stay with figure. You can always just maintain a lean frame any time in your life. So stick with it I say!
It's a tempting choice to stop competing. You looked so great this season and the changes to look as good or better than Jess can easily be made in the span of 1 year, mostly just some arm and leg size and more definition through the legs and calves.
I think you should take some time and think about it.... you have time..just enjoy your time in the gym and the answer will come.... that is the beauty of this sport... time...
Your right, the studying is the hard part. I just took an exam for a professional accredidation and I studied hours for two weeks! But if you want it bad enough then you'll do it.
