When I Started:
Mar, 2009
How I Started:
I weighed about 230 lbs. when I gave birth to my twin girls. The Army gives you 6 months to get back in shape. Having a c-section, doctors said I shouldn't do anything until after 3 months, so my time got cut in half. By the time I went back to work, I lost nothing but strenght and energy from trying to keep up with my girls. In October of 2008, My unit got deployed to Iraq, including my husband( who is in my unit). Due to army regulations I wasn't able to go until Jan. 2009. I am in Iraq, with my husband, and still out of shape. I had to take a PT test and didnt do so great. I had to take a Bodyfat Test, which I failed. Then I had enough.I was unhappy with my extra-weight self, My huband wasn't thrilled either. After work, my husband and I, started going to the gym...
Why I Love It:
Working out has made my self-confindence sky rocket. The gym currently is like my second home.My body feels great after working out and I love being able to do what the guys do, even if it is with less weight, but I give it a shot.
How I Stay Motivated:
Looking at the scale, and seeing the numbers start to decrease. The people I work with tell me," you look so great, you are slimming down, you are doing good,I am proud of you." I am proud of myself.I motivate myself, and push myself, and sometimes I get crazy and attempt to outdo my husband.

This is about my progress...
On March 30, 2009, I took my first PT test after having my girls, needless to say I didn't do so well.... On my Pushups, I did 20. On my Sit-ups, I did 41. On my Run(2 mile), I ran 20:28. The only thing I did pass was my Pushups, which I only needed 17 to do,...

hey.. Don't trip about the 5LBS.. I gained 10 when I went on leave.. You deserve to treat yourself for two weeks out of a year.. I made a pact that I won't do it when I get home for good though.. It's gonna be tough.. You look great though.. good work!
Congrats on your success. It is hard with the food on base while deployed. I bet it has helped having your husband there standing beside you during this time. Both of you come back in better shape then when you deployed.
Good job cutting off the weight. It is hard to keep a steady diet here in Iraq. I just went through BIAP / Victory and the Palaces are awesome!! Shout out from COB Speicher "HOOLIGANS"
Good to see you got a photo up then, good luck with your goals, where better to carry them out but a place where you cant have the vices you'd really like. Just a shame most of the food in the DFAC is so unhealthy and tastes like sh*t... least it does here... and dont you have a pool at prosperity and if not theres one down the far end of the IZ, more reason to hit you goals, so you can get the bikini out the gorilla box... lol... goodluck
