bullitt2779 Hey man, I had the same problem with my APFT, I have been putting on muscle and my run time slowed way down. Hey buddy of mine ran track and heres what I did to get back on top of my run. Sprints, thats all I did, no long distance running. I ran 10 laps, sprinted for 1 min, rested for 3, for 10 reps. No joke I took 2 min off my run within 3 weeks running everyother day! As time goes on increase distance and time, but increase rest time as well! Hope this helps! Apr 11, 2009 1:11pm

Jen_absgirl No, I have never used one of those belts, and know nothing about them Apr 7, 2009 2:52am

Jen_absgirl The magazines have articles and features on diet. Pretty much it is very healthy - foods in their most natural states. I realize you are deployed so I don't know what you have access to. Perhaps you can read thru some of the articles and tips here on this site for a start Apr 6, 2009 3:41am

Jen_absgirl oh yes - nothing deep fried or anything with butter. Lean meats and fish - good carbs - no processed foods like chips, or things with sugar like soda - it's called eating 'clean' maybe you've heard the term before? Apr 6, 2009 3:19am
Jen_absgirl
Jen_absgirl well, you may have trouble with it from what I've heard with accessing videos. I would try hanging leg lifts and crunches with weights. as far as bodyfat - don't worry too much - you have to be at a certain percentage to have them 'show' but you can still work on them - a clean diet is very important Apr 6, 2009 3:08am

Jen_absgirl thank you! If you have access to youtube, I have what I do under pixiedust3727 for training and nutrition and there are progression vids on there as well. Do you know what your bodyfat is? Apr 6, 2009 3:02am

Jen_absgirl Oooooh, okay :) I was driving to the gym on superbowl sunday - was stopped at a red light and was rear-ended by someone as if they were on a green. I had whiplash, and bruising to the spine and back, spent the day in the ER, and then 6 weeks of physical therapy. I am on my 3rd week back easing into the gym, it's going well :) You can still work on your core while your shedding the pack you don't want :) Apr 6, 2009 2:50am
Jen_absgirl
Jen_absgirl My pleasure! I'm not sure I understand the question I'd like to answer for you - what happened? How do you mean? In what regard? Apr 6, 2009 2:36am
Jen_absgirl
Jen_absgirl I see I have the honor of first friends and first comment :) Thank you so much for that and also I see by your name you are a military man - you have my sincere appreciation for serving our country. Best wihes on your transformation - I'm continuing with my own. Training is going pretty well - I'm 3 weeks back after a car accident - so still testing my capabilities - and you? Apr 5, 2009 5:06pm
