Background
As a freshman in college in 1977, I showed up to school fat, took up running, and trained on the ORIGINAL Nautilus machines designed by Arthur Jones in DeLand, FL. I went home for Thanksgiving break 25 lbs ripped.
My own transformation is proof that you can get your act together in your 50's and beyond.

InBody 230 for measuring body composition
Posted in Nutrition : May 27, 2011 6:16amI recently added an InBody 230 to our facility at Elite Performance Nutrition and Training Clinic in Lincoln, Nebraska. This is a $5,000 medical device measuring body composition with electrical impedance however it's WAY beyond traditional devices for this task. Measuring your body in 3 cylinders, it tells you what each arm weighs, each leg, and your trunk. Additionally, it tells you how much water, and differentiates between intracellular water and extracellular water. Of course the money pales in comparison to the improvement in my life by having improved my physical well-being. In the last year I have set life time records both good and bad. I tipped the scales a year ago at 280 lbs. That was the bad. The good was I flat benched 225 lbs x 34 reps, and did safety squats for a 1RM of over 600 lbs.
