When I Started:
Apr, 2009
How I Started:
I am training to go into the Navy. I needed to get into shape to meet the maximum fat requirement. After training, I realized that it is a way of life and got accustomed to eating healthy and exercising.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it gives me a sense of confidence and I like feeling accomplished. When I begin to see more an more muscle definition, I am proud. I also love the energy and optimistic outlook it gives me on life. I feel like a better dad now that I work out as well.
How I Stay Motivated:
This is life changing for me, so I just ask myself if I want to go back to the way I was before and I think you know the answer to that...
BB Accomplishments:
I don't have a lot so far. Like I say it has only been a few weeks. I would like to say that I am dropping fat at a great level though. That is the goal for now. No heavy lifting yet because I am trying to slim down first.

Goal (Long):
My goal is to get lean and retain muscle mass while dropping the fat. My short term goal is to enlist in the Navy which is why I started in the first place. When I started, i was 42% bodyfat, and am now down to 31, so I only have 6% more to go and for the first time in forever I will not be overweight. My long term goal is to get down to 10-15% bodyfat and train for amateur mma. As I've become more fit, I have been feeling more aggressive and feel like I want to take it to the mat.
i do a series of these to strengthen my core. ab wheel, oblique crunches weighted on an exercise ball and hanging leg lifts.

What back workout has worked best for you?
so far the deadlifts give me a massive burn on my middle back. It is really the only exercise I feel that with as well as lower back. As far as widening goes, it has to be pulls ups. This is probably the best exercise, i prefer them to pull downs even tho those are easier.so far the deadlifts give me a massive burn on my middle back. Done with the 100s program after a month and am now going back to strength training. I am doing the pyramid method. 4 sets, 12 sets of lighter weight getting progressively heavier with 2 less reps per set. Last set will be 6 rep max. I also do either HIIT or run for at least 20 minutes...
umm... 3 days isnt accurate. The tape I'm using isn't mine, and I noticed today that there are not 10 inches in a foot, so oops. These are the real measurements.
started cardio saturday and already dropped a couple pounds. doing the 100 rep thing from Muscle and Fitness and already getting bigger. what's been working for you?
I have tried shredded, and I am currently using Battle Fuel as a preworkout. I like Battle Fuel, I saw better success with Lipo 6x than Shredded. Here is something to think about- if you are going to spend almost $50 on Shredded, you should just spend that money on Stevep78 EFD plan. Well worth it.
I really liked the reduction. It made me sweat alot and the mood enhancement was phenominal. As long as your on a consistant workout/cardio plan then reduction works great.
Ah, good changed up my routine waiting a few weeks to see if I am cutting or not. Keep gaining muscle to quickly with no fat reduction. Not a bad thing but I was try to cut not bulk. Go Fight Win...
Every sweep that I did was Muay Thai. Jujitsu / Judo does have some similar sweeps though , but they focus more on throw over the hip and doing more dynamic throws. Jujitsu/ Judo throws themselves are designed to do damaged. In Muay Thai it is more for a setup and to disrupt the oppoents balance.
I could honestly say that Muay Thai (if trained correctly) itself is all you need for striking ; but it in itself is not a complete Martial Art.
For example is you want to learn how to fight on the ground you should train Brazilian Ju-Jitsu or Aikido for weapon defense.
Only Muay Thai;I have trained in other striking arts before , and I an honestly say that Muay Thai is the most powerful and the most realistic. Boxing is good too , especially for its footwork , the only problem is that it is one dimensional.

In both fights the Thais are fighting "farangs" who try to win the fight by brute force.
Yeah man , I dont like the way they fight here in the U.S. Europe or Japan (basically the "Western countries),everyone tries to be such a brute; compromising techique for size. The Thais value the technique alot more:
I think that i problem many people have is that they look for some sort os special or magically training , but honestly bro , it is the amount of time you but in training the basics that will make yuo a great fighter.
Hey bro contact me on youtube.

I dont get mad , by the way. Anger and fear cloud your judgement in a fight. It is always better to stay calm relaxed and controlled. You have to be almost cat-like. You ever noticed that hwne cats fight they are really calm , then they explode?
