How I Started:
After completing basic training and my Tech school, I decided it was time to make a change for the better. I got a membership at a local gym and went from there.
Why I Love It:
I love the pump and the way I feel when I leave the gym. Plus, it helps me on the ball field and in other aspects of my life. Since I strated working out, I am able to run faster, hit harder and just flat out play better than before. I can't wait to see how this will affect the rest of my life on and off the field. Also, the gym is like my place to be myself. Care-free, balls to the wall machine. Iam surrounded by others with maybe not the same goals, but the same desire to reach farther than before. To push and mold ourselves into something only we can envision. The brotherhood in the gym is simply put awesome.
How I Stay Motivated:
Staying motivated is easy, I know I have two choices. I can either be fit and be there for my family and my kids, or I can be unfit and play whatever hand I am dealt. I plan on being here for a long time, and the healthy road is the only way to go. Not only that my wife has helped keep me motivated. Just seeing that look in hers eyes or the compliments she has makes it all worth while. She has been a great motivator to say the least. Then you add to the mix my friends, my co-workers and even my family to the mix and the cup of motivation is overflowing.

Back to business as usual. Holiday is over and ready to rock out. Two weeks until I'm 32, got to shed some more for my vacation....
Goal (Long):
I want a body that will keep up with the demands that I place upon it. Whether it is low crawling in the field or hitting home runs, it has to be able to accept the challenge. In short I just wanna be big. I would like to be at a trimmed 220-225, with about 10-12% bodyfat. I know with my attitude and the motivation from myself and others that I can accomplish this in no time at all. Come hell or high water I will succeed.

CHERRY-ALMOND CRUMBLE
A fruit crumble offers the luscious flavor of a fresh fruit pie without the fuss of making a crust. Celebrate the arrival of cherries with this rich-tasting crumble. The nut-studded topping works great with other fruit combinations too.
Makes 8 servings, 1/2 cup each
ACTIVE TIME: 20 minutes
TOTAL TIME: 1 hour 10 minutes
EASE OF PREPARATION: Easy
Filling
1 1/2 pounds sweet cherries (5 cups), pitted (see Tip)
1 cup raspberries
1/3 cup sugar
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon kirsch or brandy (optional)
Topping
2/3 cup whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats (not instant)
1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Pinch of salt
1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces
1 tablespoon canola oil
3 tablespoons frozen orange juice concentrate
1 tablespoon chopped slivered almonds or walnuts
1 1/2 cups reduced-fat vanilla ice cream or nonfat vanilla frozen yogurt (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Coat an 8-by-8-inch baking dish (or similar 1 1/2- to 2-quart dish) with cooking spray.
2. To make the filling: Combine cherries, raspberries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice and kirsch or brandy (if using) in a large bowl. Toss to coat. Place the filling in the prepared baking dish. Cover with foil and bake for 20 minutes.
3. Meanwhile, make the topping: Mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon and salt in a medium bowl with a fork. Add butter and blend with a pastry blender or your fingertips. Add oil and stir to coat. Add orange juice concentrate and blend with your fingertips until dry ingredients are moistened.
4. When the filling has baked for 20 minutes, stir it and sprinkle the topping evenly over the surface. Sprinkle with almonds (or walnuts). Bake, uncovered, until fruit is bubbly and tender and topping is lightly browned, 20 to 25 minutes more. Let cool for at least 10 minutes before serving. Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream (or frozen yogurt), if desired.

How long do you rest between sets on average? Why?
It all depends on how I feel. On average maybe 30-45 seconds. I do this to keep my heart rate up and to maximize my time.

How many reps per set do you usually do? Why?
I go between 8-10. I am still bulking up and I feel if you go with to many reps your are crossing into a tone and cut phase of your lkifting.
