How I Started:
I decided to make bodybuilding and overall fitness a hobby back in 2002. Over the years i realized how important fitness is and how much healthier it is. I realized that fitness effects more than just your looks but your ability to do so many other activities. PLaying with my dogs, getting groceries without losing breath, walking up stairs, and just simple everyday activites become easier. I started working to improve my self image, be able to run around when I'm 50 with my kids, to feel better about myself. Its amazing how much differently you get treated when you're in amazing shape.
Why I Love It:
It makes me feel good, its part of my life now, it makes me feel in control and worry free when I'm in the gym! Fitness isn't just a hobby its a lifestyle!When i go to a new gym i like to just sit down for a minute and observe. I look at all the guys working out and spot that one guy who needs some help, bad form no spotter. I go and I spot him, and train him. Then I look around and find the guy who is in just as god of shape if not better than me, and ask for some advice and pointers. Since I travel A LOT I have been to many gyms around the world. I have so many different opinions on working out from different parts of the world!!
How I Stay Motivated:
Motivation comes in many different forms, whether it be from a magazine article, or costructive criticism, motivation works and is essential for this life! Everyone on this site motivates me. YOU ALL motivate me! When I look on here and see someone more defined than me, I love it. It makes me push harder and try harder. When I get asked advice, I love to give it and makes me keep doing the things i do!!! When I'm in the gym just watching the other guys lift, heavy weights, young guys training their hearts out. I see that one old guy, coming in not doing a lot of weight, cuz he knows there is no point, still fit, still at it!!!! I met a guy the other day at World Gym in MS he was 62, he had a championship ring from a competition he won, he won the 50+ competition.....impressive!! Old SUperman (Popps) is what i strive to be, 55 years old and still going strong! teaching youngsters like me, thank you so much!

What bicep workout has worked best for you?
I Recently just started doing Biceps. After meeting with Ian in Cali i found a new found goal in achieving a 19 inch arm!!

The one exercise i found that works best for me is Hammer curls

What tricep workout has worked best for you?
I believe that training triceps is very important not only does it give you that thick look from the front, but that massive look from the side!!

SKull Crushers are by far my fav exercise

What calf workout has worked best for you?
My calves are genetically given to me, i guess i was blessed. I believe if i train my calves with weight they will outgrow my quads and make me look unproportioned.

Standing body weight calf raises.

Where is your show in May? I'm livin in SC man. there are shows everywhere around here. Between here and florida and here and nc there are tons. Nationals are held here too like a week after the may show i wanna do so id like to qualify for them...We will see

well man it was def an experience...I did ok though for my first one. Next one i do is going to be in may and I think i might hire a trainer like 1 time a week to help me with a routine and poses and just keep track of how i look..I just depleted too much i think and came in flat...i got one more month of growing then trimmin back down come january...keep in touch bro, nice to see your doing well
