Overall Goal: To gain muscle while staying reasonably lean. I'll repeat this until I reach my desired size, then lean out to see where I'm at. Bodybuilding is art...it takes time to sculpt the body you've dreamed of.
Fit Status:
Started bulking on Monday. Had an AMAZING workout tonight! Sooo excited! I'm eating so clean and am stocked up on all the food I need. ;-)
I wrestled in highschool. I was overweight (28% or so). I began running and worked up to 10 miles a day and lost 41lbs in 3 months putting me at 4.5% bodyfat. That got me motivated to gain size/strength to accent the cuts.
Why I Love It:
I like the sense of accomplishment when I break a plateau or achieve a goal. I also love having more energy, confidence, and strength to help with daily activities.
How I Stay Motivated:
I stay motivated by seeing progress. It is delayed gratification but if you can be patient, you'll see that it pays off.
BB Accomplishments:
Used to be very overweight. I lost 41 pounds of fat, then gained a considerable amount of muscle.

Goal (Long):
My short term goal is to put on as much lean mass as possible in the next year. I will then lean out for 12-16 weeks on a slow cut leading into the summer of 2009. My long-term goal is to add approximately 50lbs from where I'm at now to be around 230lbs. I think this is a respectable size for my height of 5' 7". I'll re-evaluate my goals when I hit 200lbs as this may be a reasonable size if I'm lean. It really depends on whether or not I want to compete.
Today marks the last day of WEEK 4 in my 12 week bulking protocol. I have 8 weeks remaining to gain 21lbs. This is reasonable given my caloric intake/diet, training intensity, sleep cycles, and supplementation. 6 pounds from now will be the heaviest I have ever been in my entire life, achieved...
I love when I have a picture up from the day after a show and everyone leaves a bunch of messages telling me how awesome I look, when in reality I'm nowhere near that size at the moment. LOL. Leland is about thirty minutes from the beach, about 10 minutes from Wilmington.

I perused your profile, and I noted that you gained an impressive amount of muscle! Recently, I resumed training my upper body! :) Although I'm wearing a wrist brace, I improvised methods to train without grasping bars. Leaving the gym without feeling enervated is tough, but I need to accept my current limitations. I apologize for failing to answer your questions, but my pet just had an accident! I'll respond later.
Hi,
I apologize for the delay. Many of my friends and family are directly affected by this financial crisis. As the free mental health counselor, I'm keeping busy.
When I left the military, I didn't stray far from Fort Bragg. Commuting to school is tedious and costly, so I am considering moving in the future.
The picture does not have the resolution that I desire, so I'm surprised you could see it! Good luck on your training goals.
