since i've been in the military, i've been athletic and competitive with my peers. while deployed to iraq in 2005 i got into lifting weights and fell in love with it. This is only the begining for me.
Why I Love It:
I love overall fitness. Half the united states is over weight. Im just glad to be on a site where people are actually trying to change that.
How I Stay Motivated:
I love to eat so i gotta stay in shape. I also want to compete in my 30's.
BB Accomplishments:
When i got in the military i was 160lbs on a 6'1" frame. now im a inch taller and 40lbs heavier thanks to working out.
I've always been a skinny guy. After a couple years of lifting on and off, i finally reached 200 lbs. Got Now im on the fat end and i am having a terrible time losing this body fat
Well for those of you who dont know, the military has a APFT which test your endurance in push ups, sit ups, and a 2 mile run. To max, you must earn a 300. There is also an extended scale for every rep over max. I scored a 323. 85 push ups in 2 minutes (not bad) 85 sit ups (i was really suckn)...
Why in the world would that seem strange? The only one who knows what is right for you in this world is, well, you...the rest of everyone is here to support it! But even if you don't...you look outstanding. My goal is between 12% and 13%...I am at 17% right now...but far from in the 30's where I started...HAHAHA...
Been TDY to Ft. Stewart this week and have to go back next week. That's messin with my consistency, (though I did get a chance to hit the gym at Stewart Tuesday). That's admirable that you and the Mrs. are running together. Hope all is well. I was at Kelley Hill yesterday for 3/1 Cav's change of command ceremony. Later.
I guess it's safe to say "Welcome Home". The Brigade is suppose to be all back now. See a lot of the returning men at the Fitness Center on Main Post. Holla.
