Overall Goal:  Currently, I am adding strength by following a basic weight lifting routine, while maintaining my Taekwondo workouts. I have my eye on possibly competing in Taekwondo in the year 2010.

Fit Status:  Worked out this morning. Re-pulled my muscle at work in the afternoon. Crap. At least it's not too bad.

Currently, I am adding strength by following a basic weight lifting routine, while maintaining my Taekwondo workouts. I have my eye on possibly competing in Taekwondo in the year 2010.
Goal (Long):
I want to get my weight down to the 210-220 range with a significant change in my overall body composition. I feel that my self-confidence would be greatly improved and I will be willing to do things like go to the beach and walk around with no shirt on. I would like to bench press at least my body weight (my upper body has always been weaker than my lower body). I really want to be able to keep up with my kids and set a good example for them.

Yes!  I felt like garbage this morning (stress) and I didn't even want to go to the gym; but I did and I set two new bests...way to go me...blah, blah, blah.

Starting all over again after taking a LONG time off. I am using "kethnaab's Novice Program Adjustment" from the Forums:

A: squats (3x5); bench press (3x5); deadlift (3x5)

B: squats (3x5); overhead press (3x5); pendlay rows (3x5).

Cardio comes from my job and from weekly Taekwondo workouts. ...

I don't come to this site much...thought I'd leave you a note. How's the training coming? I finished my 1st round of P90X (starting round 2 today) I can not say enough good things about this program. It is the best thing I have ever done. My MA skills are so much better.....stronger, higher jumps,endurance and unmatched flexibility....I have lost a ton of bodyfat too! Hope you are doing well!
