Background

When I Started: Apr 2000
HOW I STARTED:

The first time I ever lifted was when I was 21 after I had my daughter. I've never really lifted heavy, although I did progess in my weight over the years. But it wasn't until this year that I realized I CAN pick up something heavier than 10lbs LOL.

WHY I LOVE IT:

I love it. I always have- even when I was a super novice ten years ago I loved it. And not just lifting but being active period.

My Motivation Program

I have 3 children- I want to set a good example for them. It brings a smile to my face when I can recall my now 10yr old daughter attempting to do push-ups or kickboxing moves with me! My kids like to join me when I do work out at home. My 3 yr old son says "ok Mom, let's do the muscles!" And he tries to do do push ups as well and lunges lol. I want my kids to see that a healthy liftestyle is important. Plus, it makes me feel good and look great. Furthermore, it helps relieve stress and after 8 hrs at my job, I am CRAVING the gym!
