I think Chris' physique is probably the best on this site. I am trying my hardest to develop something close. His posing is awesome, he shows creativity and fun in his work--and seems to be dedicated at the level of 200%. The size, symmetry, balance, definition, and poise he has developed is remarkable--one of my heroes! Anyone who cuts down to 2.5% has an iron will as well as a body of steel.
Ok, I think there's a lot of confusion out there about nutrition and bodybuilding, and very little information for bodybuilders 55+. I have been using the Bodybug, (bodybug.come) which is an electronic devise I wear on my tricep that measures calories burned. I enter in calories consumed into...
I've been working with a weight-lifing trainer now for over a month--major improvements noted. He pushes me to work muscles I either never worked before, didn't know I had, or avoided--due to feeling some discomfort (I've got osteo-arthritis). Anyway, this has made a big difference--really mix...
Applied a mask and measure the contents of what was exhaled. Started with resting state, then maxed out on the treadmill, with various reaing along the way. Include bodyfat measurements, weights, etc. Pretty interesting...graphs show when I am burning carbs, versus fats, etc.
Gives me a lot of insight into where to do cardio, etc.
I went in and has some metabolic testing done to identify th eway my body burns fat and builds lean muscle. They developed a program that should allow me to gain lean muscle mass without adding body fat....they gave me a year to add about 15 pounds. So far, I have added about a pound a week, give or take. They did increase my caloric intake as well, which was great!
Thanks Man! Just trying to keep up with you! You are in fantastic shape and the only way I can look like you when I hit 59 is to catch up with you at 53!
Thanks Man! Still going strong on the cardio / legs combo. Starting wearing a 20# weighted vest at a 15% incline at 3 mph. Trying to burn em and make em bigger! You're looking good! Ross
Hey Rick,
Im gonna take a posing class over at Francos in January. My cousin Lisa will be there also. You gonna take that class? Let me know.
All the best!
Thnaks for the encouragement, I will have fun with this comp and any future ones I do. Just got to get this first one under my belt. Have a happy Thanksgiving.
God Bless
Randy
Thanks bro. Things are going well. I stepped up my weight training, while cutting back a bit on my cardio, hoping to put on more size. I'm looking at starting up a new training progam next week too. How's your training going? Any plans for the winter?
Hey Beef, good to hear from you again. Just check out your comp history--you are really the "pro" now. Lots and lots of high finishes! Taking some time off in the winter or more comps? And thanks for the pic comments Pal!
