When I Started:
May, 2007
How I Started:
I weighed 140lbs in May and new the only way I was going to lose this weight was to set a dream goal of mine and go for it. So I set up a trainer, set a contest date and went for it. Thankful for the support of my boyfriend and the knowledge of my friend and experienced figure competitor, Theresa Evans. Without them I would not have been able to accomplish this.
Why I Love It:
I have a lot of energy. I am much more healthy and I can finally fit in my "skinny" clothes!!
How I Stay Motivated:
I have magazine articles of my figure idols on my closet door, around my bathroom mirror and at my work. It surrounds me as much as possible. I also have my boyfriend bringing me kick azz workouts to keep me pumped, never bored.
BB Accomplishments:
I came in 3rd at the 2007 INBF NY State Natural Pro Qualifier. This was only my 2nd competition. I truely believe my consistent posing practice helped me win over that spot as the competition was fierce!
Build up all around but focusing on muscle in my abs, legs and shoulders and come back a stronger leaner 109. I want that 1st place trophy for 2008. By 2009 I want my pro-card!
I have two programs set, one is an all over upper body circuit and the other is 2-day split leg training program. I expect this to just get me back into the groove but at the same time kill the body part that is giving me the most issues. I want to start it this week and see how it goes....
Hope you had a great holiday. Were you able to stick to your diet? I fell a little off track, so I'm working to get back to healthy eating! Keep up the good work :)
Glad your well. 13,000 people, holy crap. That sounds like it would be crazy, but I'm not a runner so I'm not used to that. That sounds like the mall in my old hometown of San Jose,Ca.
Just checking back to see if you were breathing. Hope all is well, glad to see you were here today, was hoping you didn't pass out on turkey day or something.
Hi Alesha, thanks for accepting. You are a very positive person to have around my bodyspace. Hope your holiday is going well. I'm little by little coming across people like you, that have made such amazing changes to their bodies. You guys are the ones that make this site motivating. If you ran, hope you did well.
I just got to say your transformation is
incredible. You dont even look like the same person. I showed my wife your profile, when she saw your before and after, all she could say was holy crap!Is that the same girl? She needed to see something like that. She's been in a plateau for some time now. You and your rock should be very proud of what you have accomplished. I could only wonder what you think when you look at your before pics. God Bless
Alesha, thank you so much for checking out my fitday and giving me the tips. I wasn't sure how many grams of fat i should be having a day. Thanks for clearing that up, i will watch it more now :)
oh my... well, the only cardio i've done has been teaching my classes so not much to even count really & diet, what's that?!! hahaha... i just wasn't ready to go back to it yet this week & with it getting dark out right when leaving work just dampened my mood- made me want to go home and crawl in bed!! so, i am going to be real with myself and start mon/tues next week and ease back in as best i can, i know once i start- it will get easier. i do miss the pump when lifting-
thanks for the add & encouraging comment! you look awesome! I am so amazed by your progress- you've really created an amazing physique in a short amount of time! You are an inspiration! Congrats on your achievements so far & good luck in all your future endeavors. Keep me updated!
you've shown some great progress and look great. Your legs already have good size I think you just need to define them,,, Also, the woman in your March 2nd photo in the black shirt looks great too. Did she inspire you to train?
