When I Started:
How I Started:
Had started lifting when I was 16. Gave me something to do plus wanted to improve myself. Wasn't able to lift from 21 till 32 due to car accidents. Hard to do squats cause I broke my neck in one accident. Verts C1 and C4 Since I havent gotten the weight with squats up to high yet i don't list the number at this time
Why I Love It:
Feeling of accomplishment when im done. Also helps me with work due to a physical job.
Right now most of my big compound lifts are in reset so starting the climb over to new max numbers.
How I Stay Motivated:
Now that I have a goal the best motivation is the people who keep telling me I'm wasting my time trying ect...
To try and compete in a PL contest once and do good heh.
Goal (Long):
People tell me I'm wasting my time trying so I took up the goal to try and do atleast 1 Powerlifting contest in my life. I gave myself 1 year(8 months left) to get ready and find a local event. They say I cant do it its a waste.... I say bite me I'm gonna do it to prove somethings to myself. Also it's really helping bring my confidence levels back up as I work for this.
What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Forget about trying to jump to big weights fast... learn the proper form and execution first. Work your way up over time

What do you do before your workout to get motivated and energized?
Depends.. alot of days I might watch a video online that gets me amped up towards the body part im doing that day. Sotimes i use the stuff bothering me as a fuel to push myself that day.
Hey man. Figured you might know since you've been lifting for a few years. I'm stuck at a 290 bench for a while now and have read many articles on how to breach a plateau but none are really working. Have you ever been in this situation, and if so what do you suggest I try and do?
