The gym - it's my time to be selfish. The feeling of reaching a goal, pushing up one more rep, feeling the bar bend in your hands or on your back because it's loaded with plates, hitting a personal best, or leaving the gym so utterly exhausted you're unable to walk correctly... what's not to love?
How I Stay Motivated:
Step 1: Set goal.
Step 2: Bust your @$$ to attain goal.
Step 3: Reach or surpass goal.
Step 4: Repeat.

This is me when I was going through a very long and difficult divorce. My divorce diet consisted of anything I could afford - which wasn't much at the time. Started training about a year and a half after this pic was taken.
245lbs - getting thicker in the midsection, but MUCH stronger in all my lifts (not sure why the pic is so tiny... oh well - click for bigger image).
What type of outfit do you usually wear when you workout? Why?
T-shirt and shorts - whatever's clean. It's not a damn fashion show.

What should look for in a gym? What should you avoid?
I avoid mirrors and 'pretty' crap. If a gym has a smoothie bar it's usually too prissy for me. I don't need the newest equipment. Give me chalk and heavy, rusty iron.

I started a DL program designed by Magnusson and Travis Ortmayer. It is pretty intense. This program consists of a lot more reps than I usually do for DL. I am totally exhausted by the time I get through it.
gunna start seeing if i can assemble sum guys in my area... cuz i really cant trekk all the way over to where u guys set up meets ... hopefully im successful tho lol seems the tampa area is filled with alotta lazy ppl

sup man hows the training going? how many grams of protien do you take post workout before the post workout meal? and how much at other times during the day???
well, after taking a few months off from powerlifting im going to give it one last good run and see if my tendons hold up. looks like your deadlift is doing great.
