How I Started:
One day I realized that no one was going to lose the weight for me. If I wanted to feel good about myself, I had to get my butt up and do something about it. 60 lbs later I realized that for the first time in 10 years, I was proud of myself and never feeling better. Its time to get that feeling back.
Why I Love It:
I love working out because it allows me to zone out...lose thoughts of work, problems at home, or confusion with men. I am holding the weight, knowing exactly what I'm doing with it, and what it is going to do for me. It's just me, the music, and my strength. I get excited seeing my muscles strain under the bar and a great big grin because I just ran harder, and longer than I did yesterday while I remind myself that I have to beat that the next day. I love working out because I'm true to myself for those few hours, forget you..forget them..it's all about me!
How I Stay Motivated:
Viewing the transformations keep me highly motivated. Reading about all of the strong men and women that have worked their butts off, & accomplished their goals..THAT keeps me going. My past weight loss also plays a part. Knowing I've done it once makes me realize I can & will do it again...for good.
BB Accomplishments:
Two years ago, I lost 60 lbs in 3 months. It was quick, but also what I needed to realize weight loss is something I could do. I went to the gym at 2 in the morning and was there till 4:30. And I loved every second of it. I'm back after a divorce, loss of employment and starting school full time to pick up where I left off. I'll be adding more here soon..hehe.

This was pretty much my heaviest which was closing in on 220.
Not the best picture to see my overall loss, but its all I had. I'm enjoying my weight loss, but I will enjoy those smaller jeans even more.

Goal (Long):
After gaining 70 lbs during pregnancy and turning myself off when looking in the mirror, I realized it was time to do something about it. I lost 60 lbs already, but after sitting on my butt for 2 years (and seeing the weight creeping back up on me) I've decided it's time to get it in gear and lose another 40. I'm ready to be that girl I always admire. I say I want to be 145 lbs, but really I just want to fit in clothes that actually hug my body. I don't want to worry if my butt is jigglin or if my shorts are creeping up. I want to know that I can play football with my son, and actually run to make that touchdown. Whatever weight that is, thats what I want to be.

What is the one tip you would give somebody who is just getting started?
Begin by doing things that 1) you will enjoy doing, if you do not enjoy where you are doing it at or what you are doing...then change it. If you don't like it, you won't stick with it. 2) Realize you are not everyone else. All bodies are different and will react differently. Thru trial and error, learn how your body takes to different exercises and dieting.
